David
The planner of the two. David maps the routes, negotiates the buses and keeps the camera rolling. He is happiest on a dirt road with no signal and a rough idea of where to sleep.
Nima
The storyteller. Nima talks to everyone, finds the invitations and turns the days into words. He is the reason half our best nights on the road were never planned.
We met through the Swedish national fencing team and have been close friends ever since. Years of training camps, tournaments and long trips abroad turned into something else entirely: a shared appetite for going further than the itinerary allows.
Our story
Los Gringos on Tour began with one open-ended trip and no plan to make it public. We started sharing photographs so friends and family could follow along, and the audience grew from there.
Our philosophy is simple: travel slowly, spend locally, say yes to the invitation. We take buses instead of flights when we can, hitchhike when it makes sense, and stay long enough to be more than visitors.
Everything you see here, the routes, the stories, the tips, comes from trips we actually made, with the mistakes left in.
